(she thinks she is a human!!) Well the look on her face she was genuinely shocked that I had given her a raw bone!! After lots of attempts she was having none of it so I cooked it in the microwave and it was gone in a flash. You just can't win with dogs if they like it they'll eat it if they don't then it doesn't matter how hard you try and don't even get me on the topic of worming tablets!!
 Please don't ever give a dog cooked bones - they become brittle and are likely to splinter. Raw bones only, please! You should start with a raw chicken wing - even a puppy will enjoy that!I love a nice juicy "kebab"...0 -
I have a very large dog de Bordeaux puppy(18 months), we feed him on bakers dried food, we are looking to change, but don't won't to upset his stomach or give him really cheap rubbish.
Will have to have to look around0 -

As previously said, I would definitely recommend Autarky - google it and read the reviews from dog owners who have changed - especially owners of dogs with 'dicky' stomachs. HTH. It was reading this page that convinced us to give it a try!Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I tried my dog on bones and he threw up. His system just can't handle them, but he is fine, thank you, on Morrison's dog food. Chicken wing? Isn't chicken supposed to be the worst thing you can give a dog?Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0

YES, if it's cooked - NO, if it's raw
Wolves, foxes, dingos, etc all eat raw meat and bones - especially chicken!I love a nice juicy "kebab"...0 -
All of mine eat raw chicken wings and they love them! Have even trained my mum now to pick them up off the reduced section and freeze them until she sees me lol!
Dogs have a shorter digestive tract than humans so they process the meat and bones more quickly. As a result any bacteria in the meat are passed out of the other end before they have chance to take a hold.
And no my dogs are not (that!!) spoilt, autarky, chicken wings, leftovers.......even a bit of shepherds pie now and then!!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0
