Alot of us have probably been down this road. I have around 100 titles, i realise they are not worth anything, but has anyone got any bright ideas as to what to do with them, binning them is a last resort but not e-friendly!
never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow

i will second car boot sales, the last one i went to a guy who was already selling thousands of vhs tape came to my stall and bought most of ours from us.
they werent worth anything, but he was happy to take them....work permit granted!0 -
Hardly worth the hassle- join Freecycle and advertise them on board and someone will probably collect from you0

I never did find anyone to take mine, even the charity shops declined to do so. Reluctantly I had to add mine to the landfill.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There is a chap who lives at the end of my road with a van which says he buys and sells Video, DVD and CD collections. I will go and have a word. Not sure if he still runs that business.0

give to local hospital, childrens home, old folks home etc. ideally with a video player if you have.0

We've had threads on this before, and it seems that in some areas they're difficult to get rid of but in others they're still sold at car boot sales and charity shops and get snapped up quickly on Freecycle. I see you're in London - have you tried the Music & Video Exchange shops? It's a while since I've been there but I know they used to have loads of VHS tapes. There's one in Camden and about 3 near Notting Hill Gate tube station.0

I volunteer in a local charity shop, and pre-recorded anything(CDs,cassettes, videos)are regarded as bootlegs, and we are prohibited from selling them.0
-
some charity shops will take them
I know on ebay you can still get
a reasonable price for anything
out of the ordinary .Older TV series
still sell OK as do drama series, plays
etc.:j:j:j0 -
I read on another forum that birds don't like the rustling sound of the tape and it recommended that you string tape through canes around edible plants or make a mesh over a pond - unsightly probably though!0
