Heated towel/clothes dryer - how much to run?

The flat we have bought for holidays has no airing cupboard and only a washing machine, no tumble dryer and no room for a separate one. We've thought about getting a washer-dryer but the current washer is in good nick so don't really want the expense just now.
I've been using a free-standing plug-in electric clothes horse thing to dry the washing and bath towels, but as it is on most of the time I'm worrying in case it is racking up a huge electricity bill.
Does anyone know how much these cost to run? It has two "arms" with three rungs on each, and stands about 2'6" high. There are no heat setting controls, just 'on' or 'off' at the mains.

Look at the rating plate on it - it should say how many watts it uses. 1kw is one unit per hour.0

Sorry to be thick but roughly how much would 1 kw per hour equate to in terms of cost? I will have a look at the plate if I can find it next time I am up there.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Depends on your location, supplier and your tariff, probably somewhere between 8 and 11 p/kwh.0

Only had it (flat) since end of June. Never used the heated rail for more than an hour or so before.
Oh well, I guess my next (i.e. first) bill will tell, except I won't know what proportion of it will be because of the airer. Going by what jonesya suggests it will probably work out around the same per wash load as using a tumble dryer, so I'm not too bothered if that is right.
Thanks for your help everyone.
