Did that work if not what did u use to delete programs was it error guard if so stay well clear

Are you sure it's the PC and not your ADSL. Try an internet speed test at www.toast.net (left hand side). I recently had appalling download speeds which started out of the blue. Turned out to be the micro-filter had gone Pete Tong.
