Hi, Daughter would like to watch tv on her pc in her room, how is this done? is software or any hardware required? does she go to some site?

You can get some tv streamed over broadband, but really it's very poor quality and there is little access to normal tv.
You need one of these for 'proper' tv, they're great -

It's a digital tv tuner, separate antenna and software package which plugs into the USB port, giving you access to all the 'freeview' tv and radio channels. The software supplied also gives you the ability to record programs, pause live TV, timeshift, etc. - and it's really tiny to boot!0 -
You will need some Hardware (TV Tuner Card) and some Software usually provided with the Card. I have a Hauppauge card and it works very well.

TV cards tend to be more sensitive to the quality of the signal than TV's and Video. I don't think they boost the incoming signal to prevent RFI problems.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
