Wireless problem

Hello all

I have a wireless problem and need some expert help, basically I have a wireless router which my laptop conects to.

It's all been working okay for about 7 months and then last Saturday whilst surfing on the laptop it just lost the connection  .

Normally in my area there are other wireless networks it can also pick up on but now it just comes up with 'no wireless networks'.

I've run out of ideas, I've unstalled and re-installed but still the same.

Hopefully you guys can help me out.

Thanks in advance

  • If you cant pick up ANY access points that you usually could, sounds like the internal antenna has gone on the adapter...

    Sorry :(

Try resetting your access point anyway, remove/reinsert all cables and your wireless adapter.

    Wireless has always been unreliable.

if you normally pick up other networks and no networks are shown then sounds more like a problem with your laptop!
do you know anyone with a wireless computer to check if the router is still working, sounds like a few of your neighbours have the hardware!
good luck sorting it, just made mine secure tonight!
  • do you have an external wireless card ? I had this problem and the card was at fault.
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)
  • The card is internal, I suppose I will have to buy a usb one.
