Renovation an extension....

Hello, we have an old extension on the back of our 30's house. It is brick built and has a plastic corrugated roof. We have submitted plans to building control to have the roof replaced with a tiled roof, and to eventually use it as a kitchen. We are in effect going to have to rebuild the whole structure as the foundations aren't good enough. It's turning into a nightmare. Building control inspected the test pit and told us requirements for the foundations and seem happy with the rest of the plans (which aren't architect plans..they are 3d plans done by OH). We're now at stage where we need to plan electric sockets and switches and a boiler replacement and move. Anyone got any advise?? We're doing all the work ourselves apart from the electrics and Corgi plumbing (waiting for quotes back from those)..what do we do next??

I'd suggest drawing up a full set of plans and getting building regulation approval. You can then show the plans to the plumber and electrician and they can price the work on that basis.

Hello, thanks for your reply, we have drawn up plans (as well as 3d plans) and they were sent to building control in the first instance and they are happy with them. The same plans are now with the plumber and sparky awaiting quotes back for the work...
