Can anybody help please ?
I can play some radio stations that broadcast through the internet but we have a local one that has a `listen live` icon that when pressed opens media player but does not connect to the broadcast.
Any ideas ?

More than likely the local station is using real files or some other non - windows media file type. Media player won't recognise it. Real Alternative lets you play Realplayer files ( and other formats) but without the need to install the bulky Realplayer. If it is file recognition problem and you need to play real files (e.g. .rm/.rmp/.ram) get it from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm0

Thanks for replies.
I forgot to mention that I have 2 computers both running XP and can receive the station on media player on one but not the other.
Have compared settings on both media player and they are the same.0 -
Does it pop up with any error messages at all? It should as least tell you what its trying to do when its trying to connect to the stream.DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

Thanks for your reply.
The error message is, WMP cannot play the file because a network error occurred.
The server might not be available.
Verify that you are connected and proxy settings are correct.
