Can anyone recommend an online retailer ? i am loathe to buy off ebay or simiar as they arent cheap !
We have an IBM Thinkpad R40 if thats relevant !

Ebay seems fair to me, new Laptop batterys arnt cheap anyway.0 -
One other thing to watch for with online battery retailers: A casual look through the sites that get found by Google might suggest that there are a lot of companies offering similar products at similar prices.
However, when you look more closely, a couple of companies seem to be operating numerous websites, all of which look different and have different names.
I'm not sure why, but it may be a tactic to try to push their competitors off the first couple of pages of search results.0 -
I used http://www.interbatteries.co.uk a couple of years ago; the battery arrived quickly and seems to work well.0

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
