Can a fridge freezer use 35 units in 56 hours?

Hi I've posted before about my electricity problem. Anyway we went away from the weekend from 8am Friday morning to 8pm Sunday evening the only thing on in the house was the fridge freezer. When we came back the meter had gone up by 35 units. We have been measuring for a while and it tends to go up 4 units in 8 hours with only the fridge freezer on overnight. Can anyone make an educated guess as to whether the problem is the fridge freezer or our meter?
Thanks

Our fridge freezer in the garage uses approx 1 unit per 24 hours, so I would say if it IS your fridge freezer that is using that much it's faulty and desperately needs replacing! The only sure way of checking that it is the fridge freezer using this huge amount of leccy is to get one of the useage meters from Maplin (on offer at £7.99 at the moment), plug it in for a ffew days and see what the figures say.Call me Carmine....
