    Agree with Ben84. Had a bagless for several years and used to empty and wash it every vacuum (OK I don't vacuum every day/week!). Now got a Miele and have had it over a year without replacing the bag and it's still vacuuming beautifully! (including having sucked up plaster dust when the plasterer used it without asking me, and having a new carpet down).
