PC turning its self on !!

PC is turning its self on every night bang on midnite,can someone advise me how to change this setting,thanks in advance.

    Have a look in the BIOS (hit delete or f8 when you boot the computer up) and look for the option "Wake on LAN".

    This did the trick for me as my router was sending network traffic overnight and it would switch the computer on.

    Didn't that work? Sounds like the most likely cause. Personally I switch off my PC and peripherals at the mains every night. Would be rather unlikely for it to power on automatically then. :D

    Didn't that work? Sounds like the most likely cause. Personally I switch off my PC and peripherals at the mains every night. Would be rather unlikely for it to power on automatically then. :D

    Unless they have a ghost in their room at night turning it on to play solitaire... maybe they should get their PC blessed by a priest or something just in case :)

    Switch it off by the mains it might be that the power button is abit fragile and lose and when the floor shakes or something it might activate the system

    If its doing it bang on 12 sounds like its scheduled, many mainboards can do this, again go to bios and look under power management, with some boards it can also be f2 key to enter
    click here to achieve nothing!
