Thanks Easyjet

Just thought I would comment on the nice people of Easyjet. I recently did not take 2 return flights that I had booked to Faro. I emailed Easyjet to advise them of this and ask for my advance passenger duty to be refunded. within 2 days I received an email back saying that my money was credited back to my account, no administration fees, no delay, no having to chase them up, no premium phone number to call. Just saying:D
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Yes, a post about a low cost carrier that doesn't contain the words 'scam', 'rip-off' or 'con' :p I think I'm going to have to go for a lie down after the shock of that :rotfl:

    Well done!

Can I just ask if you emailed before or after the flight?

We are flying to Germany later this month and have the opportunity of staying on longer and driving back with a friend so that part of the flight would not be used. Just wondered if we could do the same thing ?
I assume APD means taxes? Forgot to say we will be travelling with Ryanair.

LadyE - I think Ryanair's well publicised (well - well talked about on here!) 'admin fees' may seriously reduce or negate any refund you could be due.
  • I did a 'typo' whilst making an EasyJet booking last year, rang them up, and the changed the spelling there and then - no charge! and even very pleasant on the phone... changed my opinion of them

I got a spelling wrong on a booking, called them up (on a normal number), got through straight away (always call them as soon as their call centre opens 8am? - as they are in a good mood, and you get straight through), and they changed it free, straight away, and cracked a joke or two!

I had to cancel, they refunded me back £10 each without any issue.

Still never flown easyjet though, so can't comment on that!
