Morning all. Hope you are all feeling MUCH better than me today. I had a 2 day migraine Thurs/Fri for which I could take nothing and I'm still reeling from it plus I feel REALLY sick today but can't take the day off because I won't get paid for it and 3 days pay less at the end of the month is just too much of a hit so I struggle on. Sigh.

Sorry to moan but you lot are the only ones I can talk to.:o

Sorry to hear you are feeling so awful Lucifa. Have you tried sea-sickness bands? They work for some people. Other things people recommended to me were ginger (I can't stand the stuff personally). I had to eat little and very often - even just a cream cracker kept the sickness at bay (mostly).

Moan away - that's what we are all here for. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Suzysu. I've been nibbling all morning to no avail. Haven't heard of sea sickness bands though - where can I get them from? Anything is worth a try to get rid of this. I'm still not being physically ill, just nauseous sensation all the time.

On a more positive note I have now knitted 2 bootees, 2 mittens, 2 sleeves and 2 fron panels for a cardi. Just the back and button bands to do. I'm not making anything up at the moment, I've convinced myself that a bundle of 'random' knitting samples is permissable whereas if I sewed it all up it would be baby clothes and therefore open to jinxing...

I had my pre scan meeting on Saturday. The midwife was lovely and really helpful. I told her how I was still waiting for someone to tell me I'd made a mistake and how I get anxious before doc appointments and she suggested I go to a hypno birthing class to learn relaxation techniques. Has anyone else done this class? I'm going to phone to register tomorrow.

Hmm - I seem to be in 'ramble on' mode today...

    Fingers crossed Lucy x

Don't post very often, but had the worst weekend ever. My BF decided to move out at the end of last week and just feel emotionally drained. Have a DD who is keeping me going just not really got anyone to talk to and I know you guys are all very supportive.

    Sorry for the moan.:(

HEy thats what we are here for. Supporting each other. Its so nice when you know you can pop on here and just let it all out...so to speak...:rotfl:

My water has been off for the last three hours (doing maintenance) now its all brown and yukky!! Been running it to try and clear it... but thats such a waste of water!

    Any advice?

    Just heard from mum.

If he will let them change the dressing later then we can bring him home. If not it will be tomorrow....

    How rude!!!

But then if its for the best maybe starting your new year afresh is a good thing. Draw a line under the bad and go forward with the good. Easy to say from this side of the keyboard but I really hope you feel better and able to move on soon.
