Email problem

Hi folks
I have Outlook Express and I am a little confused. Last month or so, some of my emails don't seem to be getting through. Its weird, I have had the same email for ages, people that are not getting them, have always got them before, they do not have maximum storage exceeded as I have asked them, it doesn't make sense. I sent my friend an email 2 days ago, she sent me one today and has not received it and I know I have her correct email.
A friend in Australia, keeps sending me an email which I receive no problem, so he obviously has my correct email addy, I reply, but hear nothing back, so I email him again and again, nothing back. I then get another email off him, saying his email keeps getting bounced back to him and he is worried am I ok...has he got the correct email for me as he hasn't heard from me for ages, etc... and that his bounced back email says 'cannot connect to ntlworld.com server' or something, and ntlworld.com is is my email addy. But the email he sends me back, has my reply on it, which means I have his correct email addy, but he obviously can't read it.
I am getting emails ok normally everyday from other people and they are receiving them so not sure what the problem is.

My guess you have the correct POP settings ( so you can receive ) but your SMTP settings ( the thing that is used to send mail ) is incorrect.
EDIT: you say it is bouncing back, this means your SMTP settings are working fine, it looks like the mail server on his end is rejecting your mails, if you want, PM me the bounced e-mail and i will have a look at whats going wrong. Would not reccommend posting on forums due to spammer.
Do both of your friends both have the same ISP?0 -

No, they have different ones. Its just weird, majority of people receive my emails, but my friend, who only lives about 14 miles away is not receiving mine and this one friend from Oz, and we had no problem before, suddenly cannot receive any of mine but I can receive his but as I said, he is receiving mine as he sends me an email with my email attached to the bottom of it, but he obviously can't read it. Don't understand.
I will PM you the email. Thanks.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
