I know very little aboout such bonds, so would welcome suggestions.
Am I right in understanding that if you apply before 30th October, they will give you an additional 3.68%?????

No, they definitely won't give you 3.68%, just for opening it! - just the daily interest at 3.68% pa up until the date it is opened on 31st October.
From the way it was described, I thought it might involve some non-income return rather than just 'taxed' interest. But I believe that 'taxed' interest is about all it will pay out!.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
