Hi all,
can I join this Flylady thingy? I have just discovered Flylady.com last week and have been trying to do it for the past 7 days - this thread is such a bonus but you are all so busy and organised I feel a real numpty/idiot/prat/lazy soandso/etc etc take your pick!! My flat is like a war zone but I really want it to be tidy as it is small and has very little storage - problem is I am a bit of a squirrell and hoard things.
I read the first post from pigpen and saw how you work - do you start a new weekly plan of action each week or do I just start with the Monday bit tomorrow? IYSWIM ! I have myasthenia gravis so have to pace myself a bit but REALLY REALLY need to clear up.
TF xx
p.s. I have only been in MSE for just over a week and have spent soooooooo much time reading threads and challenges that I am neglecting things too - how do you all fit it in

Hi tootifrooti
Pigpen will start a new thread tonight - there'll be a link to it from this one - with just tomorrow's list of jobs on it. You basically do as much as you want to from the list and post on here (if you want to) what you've done and general chit-chat as you may have noticed.
Just join in - everyone's welcome - and we're a friendly lot. Don't think we're all organised though - my house's like a bombsite and I'm a hoarder too but I'm hoping while I've got 6 weeks off it will get sorted - the downside to that is the kids are at home as well!

Welcome tootti - I personally talk a great game and do more complaining/procrastinating than 'flying' but it is true and the theory does work - as much as you can do everyday makes the overall job easier.
do you start a new weekly plan of action each week
Pigpen posts every evening for the next day (bless her) so right now you are reading a whole weeks posts on the first page. Each day is different and the task for one monday will not be the same as next monday - (........thinks 'God that is as clear as mud.........someone else will explain better than me I think)

Hehe thats my problem..........sitting here reading instead of doing.......please refer back to my first sentence - procrastination is my speciality

Hi All
So my driveway is dug up........DH hit a water pipe.........no water.........no cleaning
Outside is a complete mess but on the plus side he now agrees we need a skip (previously refused because he 'wasn't paying someone to provide a container for rubbish, when he has a perfectly good van to take same rubbish to the dump anytime'........funny anytime has become only after 3 days nagging and me bagging it all up)
Forgot to take chicken out of freezer until this morning - result no dinner!
18/33 December gifts (trying not to mention C word) sorted
Dont have a 'c' (the other c word) and will never own one - just somewhere else DH could dump stuff
'H' - not likely - went to Italy for 2 weeks in March for my 40th and it broke the bank. Maybe an overnight before I start work on 7/8.
The plan was to have outside finished and garage converted before I started job - thats not going to happen now and so I will have all to organise after work each evening.
God, I am such a whinge. Should be positive and remember that at least the garage conversion is being done and soon all bakery work will be out of the house and then there will be less to clean cuz DH wont be working in our kitchen (I will NEVER clean the garage kitchen, he doesn't go out to see my clients so why should I do part of his job!)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Afternoon everyone.
Raining..dry..sunny..overcast..blowing a bl00dy gale..could be any of these here by the time I have finished posting.
Spent most of the day pottering in the kitchen. Made slow cook pork shoulder with red cabbage for lunch. Yum. Just hate the clearing up afterwards!
OH has finally got around to to astroturfing the kids play area today. The twins [STRIKE]got under his feet[/STRIKE] helped him do it. I got a bit of a bargain at B&Q. We needed some weedproof membrane to put under the astroturf. It was £8 a roll  there was one pack open and unravelled, so I asked the guy if I could have it for half price and he said yes:D .
The kids play area was originally filled with 5000 plastic balls, but over the winter these have been evenly distributed around all the neighbour's gardens.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
afternoon ladies - welcome tootifrooti
don't be fooled that we are all super-organised, really we are all superbusy and use this to try and motivate us to be organised amongst like-minded people. personally, i try to catch up with threads on a night, or as now, while i'm feeding ds2. hours do disappear on mse so i do try and limit a bit.
we decided to take the boys out to rother valley country park today for a couple of hour while the weather was nicer, so a bit less done than i'd like but a nice time had, so what the hell.
Achieved:- towels washed yesterday hung on line
- tea-towels washed, hung out
- load of white stuff washed
- done a boots online order again of nappies (kate - mainly pampers that i use, and honestly i'm not surprised he split it as he was put in it at 7pm, and wore it till he got up at 9am.) and some stuff we needed for the hols
- kitchen/living room/dining room/hall/stairs/landing and 2 bedrooms hoovered by dh
- packed lunch made for us all, and really enjoyed eating it
- researched some activities we want to do while away in devon in a couple of weeks - printed out details to take with us
- got washing in when it looked like rain
- made a sausagemeat and apple stuffing pie - trying to usethings out of freezer
- shredded pile of paperwork
- filed pile of paperwork
- moved baby monitor into our room so we can start putting ds2 to bed on an evening

Welcome Tootie
Well, a sort of fruitful afternoon. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone to ex1. But, as I was using the headset, I was able to get through all the ironing at the same time. We've been emailing all week so it seemed a natural progression to have a phone call.
It was v. strange talking to someone you haven't spoken to for about 25 years. I thought I'd be really nervous but I wasn't. Conversation flowed, there were no awkward pauses and no awkward topics of conversation.
It's funny how you forget the sound of someone's voice but almost instantly recognise it. Of course it's changed a bit through the years and I'm sure he didn't used to have such a 'sarf Lunnen' accent (think Frank Butcher in Eastenders but not so deep and not so pronounced) but maybe I've been around too many plummy accents on the south coast I'd forgotten.
Seems he maybe coming down to the south coast weekend after next to do a spot of diving (about 30 miles away from where I live). We will probably meet up for a cup of tea. I've discussed it with DS and he's cool with it. So, interesting times ladies!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
