Hi everyone,
I have a dell dimension 5150 and I would like to add an additional hard drive. The current drive has a SATA connector. Can I just add any SATA hard drive or do I have to find out if it is SATA II and use the same?. There is a spare SATA connector on the motherboard (Dell Inc. 0HJ054) but i cant find out if it is SATA 1 or 2.
Many thanks. brinky

but if you want to find out which it is anyway, use CPUID's PC Wizard and it should tell you if the controller is SATA 2:
