Any ideas?
Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?

What exactly does it say on the blue screen of death? Post that info and it'll really help in investigating the problem.
Has it just started happening? Have you installed any new hardware or software recently?0 -

could be one of several things
virus? get avg antivirus free from downloads.com
bad ram? dont remember the sight but there is a free ram checker proggy, probably again from downloads.com
psu ( power unit) going bad? no real way of checking this one until it goes
components getting too hot? various proggies will monitor temp of cpu
like most helplines for pc's i would say format hard drive and reinstall
although you could try doing things like running windows update and seeing if there is some items not installed that should be
downloading and installing ad-aware and running that to see if some spyware is messing around with your system
checking your firewall and see if it conflicts with windows firewall ( xp)
as others have said, it depends what the message is telling you, most likely something about missing .dll files, if this is the case and you are using windows xp why not try rolling back to a time when it ran ok? 1 week ago or 1 month ago, when ever you didnt keep getting all the blue screen and messages?what is the plural of moose?

No way of telling what that could really be.
More info needed. The error message for a start. Which version of Windows? How up to date is it? How long has it been occuring? What are you doing prior to the crash, or does it crash on its own accord? Do you have an av product? etc...
The more info you give the better."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Do scan then turn back on sys restore and auto updates
then reconnect to net. and get http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Although annoying the BSOD can be useful to find out your problem. XP has an auto reboot so you can't take a note of the error therefore you may find it hard to find the cause of the reboots.
You can however turn off the auto reboots by doing the following:
- Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
- Go to Advanced
- Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
- Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
Next time you get the BSOD it will remain on screen so you can find out the error code. It will be a long list of numbers eg:
0X000000D1 (0X00000008, 0X00000006, 0X00000000, 0XF7473756)
or something like that. Try to take this down. This should give a better indication of exactly whats wrong.
edit, well may not be exactly, but it may help.0 -
I thought it could of been this old chestnut
