Cheap Flight to California? And LA Question

Hi all,

I am looking for a cheap flight to California ideally San Francisco but San Jose is a possible option.

So far cheapest i found is around the £530 mark but i was hoping to get one about £450. Any ideas where i can look for such flights? I am looking at going at the end of July maybe earliest date is 23rd July but most likely 28th be great. I am trying to get a flight from Birmingham.

I am going to visit family in Stockton and will stay in California for 10 days, i am also hoping to spend 3 or 4 days in Los Angeles but i was just wondering if anyone can recommend me a good place to stay if i did go there?

Cheers

fly zoom were doing flights to san deigo for about £400 and Air france were doing direct flights to LA from heathrow for around £450 last i checked a few months back.

of course you may have to add fuel surcharges now.

Doubt you'll find any better given you're travelling at a peak time when flight prices are high.

You reckon? i have had a look and only found 1 flight under £600 which is strange.

Not sure if there any sources out there to look around.

What about places to stay in LA which are cheap to crash at for 3 or 4 days?
