That's very strange. I ordered from them last week and there was no mention of advertising on the back of the card. The blank backside was free, and you only had to pay if you were putting something of your own on there. I don't know if it's a new thing they've introduced since last week? I hope not.

Bummer. I'd been meaning to do this for ages but only got round to it last night after seeing this thread. When you're creating the card under options for the Back of the card you have to choose which template you want. There is the free message (which is free), then blank card, then your own message, shadow of the front picture etc. You pay for everything except if you choose to have the free message. (It says "Business cards are free at vistaprint.com!"

One this should go to a different thread, not the freebies board,

and two theyve always for years had the writing on the back saying that. Its nothing new.
  • I want to order all my stuff from here but im worried about them signing me up to the reward club, how do i know if they will sign me up or not, if there is a box u tick what page is it on? I dont need any money being taken off me without me knowing!

Right, I've had a good look on the website and I think I've sussed it out.

If you choose 'free business cards', you have to choose from 42 designs, and yes you're right there is a small charge of £1.49 to get rid of vistaprint's advertising (which isn't too bad).

If you choose 'premium business cards', you get a bigger choice and you can also upload your own design, it's £2.49 for 250 (though they often do these for free too), and the blank backside is included.

    HTH!

Try this link for free 'premium' cards (with blank backside included) (from an email I received this morning):

I got an email for premium business cards too. Have just ordered some. Delivery was £1 more though. Bit worried as I did not see anything about a rewards scheme or whatever? Was proceeding very cautiously but didn't come across anything of the sort. I paid by debit card rather than a credit card, wonder if that makes a difference?

The thing about the rewards scheme always comes up AFTER you have done the transaction. They invite you to join the scheme, or you can just click 'no thanks'- on the right of the screen, near the bottom (as I always do!)

Are you sure you didn't get this? I pay with debit card too so that can't be it.

I have used Vistaprint for a while now and to be honest you can't get better value for money.

Get the premium business cards - nothing is printed on the back.

Best advice is - sign up to the newsletter and you'll be sent free offers every few days.
When they have uploads free - upload as many as possible, even if you layer them on top of each other - then you can use any time for free :)
