Hotpoint WM only works on 1 cycle- hard reset?

Hiya
we have an hot point aquarius WM, and it only works on settiong F which is coloured washes over 50.
For obv reasons wed like to use the other cycles and are sure the issue is an electronic one.
Is anyone able to help, I jsut cant bring myself to call someone out for this, as the machine didnt cost too much, and the call out will be more than the machine is worth.
Saying that its in good nick, seems safe enough, just doesnt really seem to start on other cycles other than F.
