Hi, I have a problem with my Ravenheat CSI85(T) boiler.

When I run the hot water, or the CH, the boiler fires 3 times, then the light comes on and it shuts down.

The manual suggests the constant red light is a warning of a flame failure of the burner, and to reset the boiler by turning it off and onn again. this has done nothing and i've tried it 3-4 times.

anyone have any experience with these boilers.

I'd ask my dad or brother who are both plumbers, but both are working down south for the next couple of weeks.

Here's the manual.

Could be a whole raft of things. My boiler did something similar and the plumber thought it was one of four things - 1) the igniter wasn't sparking to cause a flame, 2) the gas valves had got stuck in the closed position 3) the flame sensor had failed or 4) the main board was on its way.

The first incidence was stuck valves, when it did this the second time, it was the main board.

I would suggest getting dad/brother in to take a look.

Was it the main PCB or the ignition board?
