TV Tuner card for Dell Dimension C521

Hi, I wanted to add a TV Tuner card to my PC and I have about £50 to spend and I saw this one in PC world
Hauppage WinTV-NOVA-T-500 - Dual DVB-T Digital TV. I was wondering if it will fit into my desktop as it is smaller or do I need to get a smaller one?

Do you mean that your PC only takes half-height cards?

I'm fairly sure that the Nova-t-500 is half-height, but the bracket supplied is full height. However, last time I looked into this, Hauppauge would offer to post a half-height back plate to you free of charge if you needed one.

Probably best to contact their UK office tomorrow and check that's still the case.

Incidentally, I have one of these cards in my MythTV backend server and it works very well. But... the Windows s/w that Hauppauge ship with their tuner cards is (IMO) rubbish - you might want to try GBPVR (or MythTV!) instead.

Why not go for a USB version I use one with my Laptop and it does exactly what I need.

Thanks for your help in this. The TV Card is £50 in Currys so I will buy it there.
