Typical values for electric heating?

Hi all,
I've just moved into an electrically heated flat, now this is my first elec heated place and i've got no idea what to expect the energy usage will be.
just having moved in im on southern electric standard which looks an expensive tarif, so plugging some figures into the switching sites to see what's best. Thing is I don't have any figures for trying to calculate usage. I think I need to do my own calculations as my usage is quite low. just having the first bill for june-july through I'm using 0.9 units/night and 4.5 units/day. oh the night units will be low at the moment as the nightime immersion heater isnt working (thank dog for a power shower!)
although I can find general information on elec usage per year that doesn't break it down by family/house size or even day/night units.
has anybody got some nice values I can do some calculations on? I'm in a 2 bed flat, insualtion not great, on the south coast
cheers

As a very rough guess I'd estimate anything between £500-£800 over the year for your heating. There are so many variables though - exactly how good is your insulation, exactly how efficient is the storage on the heaters, exactly what is the temperature outside and so on.
All you can do is wait for the colder weather I'm afraid and see.0
