Which is Best - Oyesters or Travel card

Hi All,
Need your views on which card is best for 2 days for London Visitors - Oyesters or Travel card. Will be visiting from heathrow to central london & back. Will cover Tussads and London eye. Won't do much sight-seeing, just 4-6 hours a day. Want your advise to settle for which card.

Thanks,
lloyd

If you are staying over a weekend then a weekend travel card will be best.
Oyster card also gives you discount entry in Madam tussards and London dungeon.
Also an oyster never charges you more than the cost of a day travel card. An oyster will cost you £3 each so I do thing it may be best to get a travel card.

AFAIK you cant buy weekend travel cards any more. As long as you dont want to travel before 9.30 a zone 1&2 travel card costs £5.30 a day. The cost is the same on Oyster - you buy a 1 day tavel card on it.

No such thing as a one day travelcard on Oyster, only 7 day or longer - it's PAYG for less than that where it's capped at 50p less than the equivalent 1 day travelcard

For the OP, it all depends on whether you are travelling with another adult and want to save money as PAPER (ie not Oyster) Travelcards allow you to use the offers on https://www.2for1entry.co.uk

An oyster card will give you access to these offers.

You get the £3 back if you hand the Oyster in so it doesn't cost anything.

If you want to use the 2 for 1 offers, get travel cards

If you don't, and can be bothered with the £3 deposit and getting it back, get PAYG Oyster. You will save 50p per day per person.

If you can't be bothered about the deposit, get travelcards - there's not enough in it to get wildly excited about.
