I've been wandering around the internet, and apparently there may be an updated version of my BIOS (current version is Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG).
Is it worth upgrading, and can I cause any problems if I do and it goes wrong?

It would probably be worth looking at the release notes to see what has been changed in later releases than the one you have.
If there's nothing that you need then I wouldn't, as there is a small but real risk that the update will not complete, leaving you with a motherboard that won't work again.0 -
Thanks for that - I'll have a look and see what's on the update.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

It's a good case for "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" because if it goes wrong for any reason then you're left with a machine that won't boot up. Even the motherboard manufacturers only advise you to do it if you're having problems.0

Probably a stupid question - but will an updated BIOS get my machine to recognise High Density memory?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
