IT'S NOT FAIR....and much stomping of feet

Did you ever get an answer to your question - this is exactly what I want to know as I am self employed also and would dearly love to save some cash!

  • It can be quite a confusing topic this, but I've found this article for parents on childcare vouchers very helpful and reading the one for employers helped me understand it in regard to setting it up from their perspective too.

    Good luck!
  • there's also some Government, tax and legal stuff here too.
  • Can anybody give me some advice on this. Im self-employed and how I can opt myself into a similar scheme. It seems very unfair that I cannot enjoy the same benefit. My childcare costs are £1000 per month and rise on busy months. I do not get tax relief of any knid on this. This seems very unfair. Martin said he was going to investigate about teachers being exempt, maybe you could also look into us self-employeds? After all, with out us working there will not be tax being paid in!!
