I would really like to take my kids for a short break this summer or September as they are preschool and its slightly cheaper if not a day trip or two to the seaside.
ATM we dont have a car and are on benefits so money is really tight I have looked into coaches to the beach ect but with national express some taking 5 hours :eek: and with a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old not a good idea train is quicker but depending where you go quite pricey
I live in Birmingham so any ideas more than welcome on cheap places to get to and stay 2 Adults and 2 little ones either 2 or three days break or a couple of day trips

There was a £1 National Express offer posted recently, this is different to their funfares so definitely worth a look. As you're in Birmingham there should be a greater probability of finding something, as Digbeth Coach Station is the hub for National Express:
