I have been on the site a little while now and have got a grip on the jist of things that I need to do to become debt free so have chosen now to start my DFW Diary.
Ok so I am Ikkle ( I'm not ikkle really I am 6ft2 but anyway lol) and I am 20 years old (21 next month) I looked on this site last year to look at reclaiming bank charges and only wish I had looked further and found the forums as they have been a god send to me.
I have been unemployed for the past year due to health problems and receive incapacity benefit. I am on the mend slowly but surely though and am due to start college in September.
I live with family so thankfully my outgoings aren't huge other than my debts but then again my income isn't huge at the moment either which is why I have got a DMP with CCCS.
How did I get in to debt?
I recently posted on a thread which asked me just that very question and here is my reply
This leaves £108 for CCCS payment and that is going towards the following debts:
Being on this site has already proved fruitful for me with the make £10 a day challenge which I took part in in May, also cash back I have £160 which is due the day after my birthday which is being added to my birthday money from my gran and my mum to get me a laptop which will be better for me with college etc. I have also received £25 in vouchers. I was encouraged to complain about a problem with a bra and got £16 cheque and £25 gift card. As well as freebies like the moving home box, money from doing surveys a nice bottle of perfume which will be used as a christmas pressie and not just that but I have made some great friends too.
Well I think I have warbled enough tonight lol

How did I get in to debt?
I recently posted on a thread which asked me just that very question and here is my reply
My income is £323 a month, out of that I pay £44 board, £10 contribution to tv, gas, electric, phone and water. £13 goes towards travel expenses to doctors, physio etc. I pay £40 towards food and house keeping. I had originally budgetted a lot less for clothing but CCCS put clothing up to £28 a month and emergencies are at £15 a month. Another reason I went with CCCS is because they allow me to pay £65 a month to a relative who leant me money. So my total monthly expenditure is £215.I made the biggest boo boo of my life by being with my ex, not just money wise but life wise too but thats something else. I took out credit to furnish our home which he agreed to help pay back. I paid some of it off but we were growing apart. I went into hospital and when I came home he was gone and so were most of our belongings. This was after 3 years together. I muddled on still managing with my expenditure levels thanks to my good job. Then last year I had to give up working due to poor health. My income plummetted from £300+ a week to £65 a week and I couldn't cope so I stopped paying bills and interest charges got added and my debts went up and up and up.
This leaves £108 for CCCS payment and that is going towards the following debts:
- Blair Oliver and Scott £303 - this is from halifax, I can't wait till the test case is all sorted and I can hopefully try and get my bank charges back hopefully as that is all that this amount is.
- Empire Stores £172
- Greenwoods Personal Credit £245 - this is part of Provident, stupid I know but have paid half of it off.
- Intrum Justita £932
- J D Williams and Co £72
- Moorcroft Debt Recovery £350 - this is on behalf of Orange who i couldnt cancel my contract with.
- Welcome Finance £6665.92 - this was a loan of £2900 which I was paying off but then when I couldn't make the contractual payments they started to add interest charges on = at £200 a month. I am in the process of requesting a CCA from them and am praying that they cant produce one.

Hiya guys,
Thank you all for popping on to my diary.
Tony good luck in court babe, x
Ok so what's happened today?
I went out with my mum and gran to our local social club, don't think the bar staff liked it when I asked for a pint of water but oh well. Did the sunday quiz but I didn't win, it was only for lager though and I can't drink it so I'm not too upset. Also spent £5 on bingo tickets which covered me for all 6 games of bingo. I won as well yayyyyyyy I won £93 but I shared with my mum and gran so that was £31 each which isn't bad for a £5 outlay. I'm not a big gambler though, I play the free bingo and the itv bingo night live thing which is also free and do racecaller through pigsback but thats where I draw the line.
I know I have already sold most of my stuff that I have but thought I might look through the cupboards again and see if there is one or two odd items I can ebay, I have loads of books but I don't know if it worth while trying to sell them as postage is a bit tricky.
Gonna do a few printouts tonight so that I can keep a check on my spending and incoming etc as I am being very organised and have an A4 Folder which I have put into sections, CCCS documents, bank statements, DCA letters, etc so that when I need something I know where it is.
