My husband wants a sat nav but been recommended tom tom or navman got to have safety camera i dont want to pay alot for one any suggestions.

Tomtom. Hope he doesn't think that safety camera POIs will stop him from getting caught.

no he just dont want to get caught buying from a dodgy site,we live and work near camera safety department so we know what antics they get up to.

There is nothing remotely illegal about having a database of speed camera locations and using it on a satnav device, so worry not.

The problem comes in thinking its comprehensive and relying on it. In my county, a database of speed camera locations is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard because apart from one road, they're not fixed.

Can't beat keeping the number on the speedo at or below the number on the stick you passed for making sure you're OK.

Cheapest Tom Tom is the One at £75ish from Amazon and Empire Direct or £70ish with price match at PC World. The One can show speed camera updates for a subscription after the free trial perios.

Is that price for the compact looking satnav? Off to have a nose as I'm after satnav too
