Eurostar - save £5 on the Ashford - Brussels Route

The Eurostar website is broken and does not let you book Ashford - Brussels, even though this is a valid route, changing at Lille. The only way to book is to phone up which carries a £5 surcharge.
However.
If you complain about the website being broken, and ask the Eurostar telephone booking employee you're talking to to "check with the internet booking department" (twice in my case) they will eventually admit their website is broken and waive the £5 phone booking fee.
Now I know it's only £5, but every penny helps, right?
