Hi,
Me and my boyfriend are looking for a cheap room in brighton anytime in August. Preferably the beginning of the month. I have no idea where to even start looking!
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks x

I am also on the hunt for cheap and by the coast...lol.... I can now see why people go abroad, for the price of two nights in a "budget" hotel you could have been sitting on the beach somewhere else for half of that! *arghh*...
Ideas welcome for cheap places in the UK.....Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker!0 -

Firstly, Brighton hotels are expensive!
I'd also check where you are to see how easy it will be to get around. Parking is also expensive and sometimes difficult to come by (check with your hotel). Buses are frequent to most people and less hassle than you would think. It will shortly be £1.80 for a single journey and £3.50 for a saver (although if you go to https://www.buses.co.uk they are £2.80 if you buy online before the prices go up - last week this week). They are mostly kneeling buses for buggies so you don't have to fold them away.
There are 2 travelodges but they tend not to have the cheapy deals and tend to book up pretty quick. There is also a holiday inn. I think late rooms or lastminute.com might be your best bet.
Secondly, it is the Brighton Pride festival on the first weekend in August so chances of a cheap hotel that weekend are slim!
As a ball park here are the prices of a B & B in brighton - I haven't stayed there so dont' know what it is like, but I do book others in there and no one has complained! The staff have been helpful on the phone, but there isn't anything recent on tripadvisor.

Tripadvisor does list 'discount' hotels if that helps, but I would check reviews and other sites also!0
