Pet friendly short breaks

Hello I wondering if anyone can recommend any (1 dog) pet friendly locations in the UK or channel isles for a short break - which aren't to expensive. Probably for september time. I've started collecting the vouchers from the Sun but alot of the ones I've looked at dont allow pets or charge upto £45 for a dog!

I'm not sure what constitutes 'not too expensive' but September should be cheaper than August anyway and you'll still get good weather (maybe even better) in the UK
We have used the following sites to help us find pet-friendly hols:
www.lastminute-cottages.co.uk - you can search specifically for dog friendly
www.underthethatch.co.uk - Welsh cottages, quite quirky, do quite a few special offers on cottages that are still empty at the last minute
www.therealvisitorsbook.co.uk - read guest-written recommendations of dog-friendly places in their Really Rated section
www.farmstay.org.uk - as long as your dogs are relaxed in the company of farm animals!
If you decide to book via one of the big letting agencies I would offer just one word of caution and that is if they say the garden is 'enclosed' make sure they confirm it is DOG PROOF! We got caught out on this a few years ago when the 'enclosed' garden was actually enclosed with an open post and rail fence - kept neither dogs nor children safe!
Good luck

Travelodge hotels charge £10 per stay per dog (max 2) My dog has stayed at lots of different ones over the last few years and enjoys his short breaks as much as I do. They regularly have £19 a night offers. Check on Trip Advisor to make sure you choose nice ones though.0

I usually book through http://www.cottages4you.co.uk/ they cover all the biggies like Welcome Cottages, etc. Most of them accept dogs, and you can search for the ones that do.When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0
