I've got a Krupps stainless steel kettle. Very smart and well made. About £35.

I love my breville which has a beautiful beech handle. It boils really quickly. I put a shell in the bottom of my kettle-have been doing this for 20+ years a I live in a very hard water area and rarely have to descale.I have had it 3 years so doubt this design is still around, but I would deffinitely buy breville again.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Hi - I did the same thing and put my finger through the mesh filter on our kettle, living South Glos, horrendous limescale problem. I know you want a SS one but I just bought a white plastic Breville Elluminator (Glows blue when switched on) god knows why but looks neat, but £12 in woolies, thought good value for a kettle with all the other bits you want on it.

For those that live closer, I bought it at the big woolies at Filton Bristol just off M32 loads left £29.99 down to £15 then down to £12

We've got a Tefal Vitesse - had it for years and would definately recommend it, especially with it's "rapid boil" feature :
