I keep getting some dance music start playing on my computer all by itself which I haven't put on (I'm a rock chick anyway
). I have no idea where it has come from or how to get rid of it.
Does anyone know of any programmes that would cause this? It's driving me mad  (see?!)

the internet doesn't even have to be on. It plays on and off, sometimes it doesn't play for ages and when it does it makes you jump. It only plays for a few seconds each time, but it is still none the less annoying.ldoes the music play all the time or just on some pagesMortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £77,930.43 April 2037Swagbucks ~ £10 (2025 ~ £240)Surveys~ £41.99 (2025 ~ £238.94)Make £2026 in 2026 #18 ~ £153.98 ~ (2025 ~ £2,368.64)2026 Decluttering Campaign ~ 34/20260 -
I had a similar sort of problem except the music played continuously, and started playing regardless of whether I was on the Internet. I did a virus scan online and discovered that it was a trojan causing this.0

Yeah, do any scans you have available. If not, you might want to consider getting one, or a few!
Cnet have several. Some of the online ones are good too. There's a sticky about it in this forum.
Press control+alt_delete to see if there's anything obvious running that you don't like the look of.
If it still persists, the link thomas posted should help you get rid of it.
