Xmas in the sun??

Has anyone ever been away at xmas to the canaries ? can you recommend a cheap deal flying from any NI airport 2 adults 16 yr old and a 3 yr old ?

yes we have been away over xmas and new year 4 years ago -- we were in gran canaria it was great -- however as usual flying out of norn ireland you have to expect to pay high prices have you considered flying from dub --- i cant rememeber the price we paid but i remember it being very expensive good luck hope you find a good deal it is gr8 being in the hot sun eating xmas dinner etc. :beer:

aer lingus now fly direct from belfast to arrecife
flights 3 adults 1 child 16th dec back 30th dec £620.40

seperate hotel but prob looking £1000 for 14 nights hotel
may be cheaper to book an apartment prob around 600 pounds
then car hire on top if needed

Been away a couple of times at Christmas .. and it just seems weird to be lieing about in shorts and a tee shirt

My uncle and wife head out at Christmas, they recon teletex is still the best for cheap flights.

It depends Madman. Sometimes they fly from Dublin, depending on the best offer available at the time.

We went to Tenerife last year for Xmas, £303 each from Dublin, stayed in the Sol Tenerife hotel. Booked with Winter Sunshine Holidays online. If you book once with them, every time you book after they give you 6% of loyalty discount. We went from the 20th to 27th, it gets expensive over New Year. We loved it, so relaxing and the drinking, eating out etc was great value. So much cheaper than home. I would really recommend it. Lots of activity without being 'too busy'. The flights times were excellent and we got the bus down to the aiport and a lift home.
