Wireless speakers stopped playing!

I have a Phillips pixel plus TV which I have had for just over 5 years, it is a 32PW9617 model.
With the TV are a set of wireless speakers which provide the surround sound, they connect to the TV by microwave. For some reason there is no sound coming from the speakers, they are connecting to the unit on the back of the TV as the green light on the speakers lights up when the TV is switched on, but still no sound comes from the speakers.
I have tried all the channels between the TV and the speakers but alas to no avail.
I was wondering if anyone out there has had a similar "fault" and how was it resolved please, alternativly are there any TV experts that may have a solution please.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure!

Yes there is power in the speakers, they are mains powered and are powered up OK, the correct settings are in the TV and the speakers are as far as I can tell in sync with the TV, ......... just no sound coming from them!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure!0
