item hasnt turned up

my buyer has told me her item hasnt turned up even thoug it was posted over 2weeks ago - how do i go about putting a claim in to royal mail when i dont have any proof of postage - i only have my ebay proof - silly me - i always get proof but that day i just shoved it in the bag (yes, no post box at our post office any more as they are shutting down) along with all the other stuff as the queue was really long and i was in a rush...

ive told my buyer i will send her another of the item out (rugmaking canvas), but, i will be £8 out of pocket so how do i claim this off royal mail please?

thanks

You don't. You have lost the money and really should look at more appropriate ways of posting. A COP is the minimum assuming items are realtively cheap.

Yoo will have to take this one on the chin.

One other thing if this happens with a buyer once I am extra careful the next time just in case they are at it!!
  • You don't always need a COP, I have had a claim filed through ok without one so give it a try. Either phone Royal Mail helpline or get a claimform from PO.

    Hi

I would still try and claim for the lose .
You never know they might pay up.
