Sorry if this isn't a constructive comment in your eyes, but if you are so unhappy, why is here still there?

If my children were coming home from school unhappy and were being taught to swear and watch DVDs when no one can be bothered to teach them or provide an environment that is productive for them, I'd have them out of there by the close of the week and would be home-schooling them until a suitable, productive alternative can be provided.

You only get one shot at this.

I understand where you're coming from but unfortunately I am not in a position to stay at home and home teach. Believe me I wish I could and I have looked into this but there is no way I could work round it. The only way I could stay at home would be to give up work but I have a mortgage and bills to pay and hubby's wage wouldn't cover it. Although if the school continues to fail him I won't have any other option but to take him out but I don't know where I would stand legally with that - I was threatened with court if I kept him out of school which is why I sent him there in the first place. It's something I need to look into again I think because I only see him deteriorating further whilst he is there.

I am going to let the Ed Psych see him again and see what her thoughts are although I am getting a bit paranoid that they all stick together.

Thanks for your comment. You have made me think about home tutoring again. Maybe there is a way round it. Like you say we only have one shot at this. Thanks.

Maybe let them take you to court for removing him from school and see what is said then?
