£1 summer National Express coach fares

Just tried getting a £1 fare...total came out at £26+ for 2 of us. though 1 and 1 makes 2. The word FROM is the problem

The site is not very obliging when you try to book a cheap return fare. Would allow me to go to London for £1 but return journey was £12.

But good luck to anybody who can get what they want from it .

Only offered me 3 destinations from my local bus station and London was one of them.

Ive just signed up and its only given me a destination of London to go to from my home city of Norwich.
How do i find out about other destinations that are or might be available

Well that sucks. As normal absolutely nothing for Hull despite there being a very large national express station here. I can't believe how few places there are available for the north of England generally. Why does the North always get missed out?

Although I did love the above comment about having to send family members with empty suitcases to collect your daughters shoes from uni!

Had a look. None from Carlisle. So northerners loose out again.
I can travel from Carlisle by National Express but can someone please tell me why I have to go to London to get to Norwich????

This special Daily Mirror site basically shows the same prices as the normal National Express site (which also does £1 fares) www.nationalexpress.co.uk

Go via Quidco, then on the National Express site and do not log in (when you log in it does not show you all the cheap fares for some reason).

I have just booked three lots of £1 coach journeys (seperately, to get the Quidco cashback; www.quidco.com for those not already familiar with it) and got 30p cashback from Quidco on each occasion making my £1 coach fares the mega price of 70p each. Wonderful stuff!

IMPORTANT

If you make a booking via the Daily Mirror National Express site and you are prompted at the end to sign up for someting that gives you a discount voucher, do not take it to be so wonderful as it seems. Read the small print i.e. they will charge you a monthly fee for doing this. Keep clear.

The saddest thing about either this thread or this promotion is that it states that it is available throughout the United Kingdom. WRONG! It is available throughout Great Britain. The United Kingdom is actually the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - remove Northern Ireland and you're left with Great Britain. Sadly, as National (or not as National as it would appear from other postings in this thread) Express does not operate in this bit of the UK I cannot avail of a £1 fare from Belfast to Ballycastle nor from Bangor to Bangor.
