Help setting up my aol broadband please?
I have upgraded with aol from dial up to broadband. I have followed the instructions and it is still not working. Rang aol and when eventually got through 25 mins later the were no help. After amny unhelpful calls I am now trying to ring in the evening and it just tells me to leave a message but no one is getting back to me!!! Its so frustrating. Does anybody know were I could be going wrong with the setting up?

Well for starters, now that they use a premium 0870 number, it doesn't surprise me that you had to wait for ages. Try 0117 9191100 - it won't cost as much and if you use 1899 or have an all-inclusive call package, you won't be paying 8p per minute and can talk for longer without worrying about the cost.
SAY NO TO 0870!
That, is an excellent question...0 -
Have you installed from modem into main telephone socket? Just wondering, as originally I had tried into another extention socket, and couldn't get it working, so had to buy extra phone cable with dsl plug thingy to run from main telephone socket to my computer. (Sorry my technical descriptions leave a lot to be desired!)0

do you get 2 solid green lights up on the Modem if not there is a problem with the line
is it a BT Voyager 100 (will say on the box it came in ??)
I take it that you installed the software and then plugged the modem in to let it install itself ?
Are you using Windows Xp ??
what is the error message you get when you try to connect via the Broadband ??Ex forum ambassador
