My friend and her kids have had a rubbish year and it would be great just to get away for a week in the sun.
It would be 2 adults and 4 kids from 3 - 9 yrs.
Don't mind camping just need it cheap and refreshing!
Can anyone help?? Any website recommendations etc
Thanks

EuroCamp? Matthews? They are both 'reasonably' priced camping holidays for a few hundred pounds, but obviously with it being peak season you wont get cheap!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

Accommodation is likely to be the main problem but have a look at the Melia Sol website. They discount prices quite often especially for the less popular hotels. They send me emails all the time and sometimes a room can be as little as €60 for the night. But, August is the most expensive month. These days lots of hotels take direct bookings; think of a destination and look at that web site. If they don't mind travelling late i.e. 10pm-midnight they should be able to get some cheap plane seats from one of the budget operators or even someone like Monarch (my favourite). You could also look at Ceefax on the Internet. If I can see anything on various sites I'll post again but could have done with an idea of the price they can afford.0

I just found one on the Teletext site for £198 pp self catering at the Africamar Apartments. Not sure where in Majorca but transport should be included anyway. It is for 8 nights on 18th July for 2 adults and 2 children.
although it is on Teletext the travel company is called Sun 4 U Limited.
Melia Sol did have hotels for €80 pp per night (Costa del Sol) breakfast is extra. You can usually get airport buses to popular resorts or I have known holiday reps to sell tickets on their transfer buses.0 -
There are plenty of companies that do resort transfers now. resorthoppa is one of the biggest.
Holidays advertised on teletext are never anywhere near the price advertised after all the extras ( taxes and charges) have been added on. Kids are almost always full price through them too.
If you want really cheap ( in this country) then look on :

I would forget the sun especially with 4 kids that age! It will cost you a lot to get there as none of the kids will be free and it will cost you even more when you get there especially if you choose a euro country.
The best place for kids in my opinion is centreparcs. It should be no more than a few hours door to door, the pools are great, they have kids clubs and the wildlife is also a winner with kids. Use the discount codes available on here and you should be able to get a reasonable price for all of you. Their indoor swimming pool is like being abroad for kids. The reason it is over 90% full all the time is because once people have been once they tend to go back again and again.
a 4 night break for all of you could be around £600 in total or you could get a week for around £10000 -
I have four kids and it's really difficult to get us all abroad. Even no-frills flights to Alicante can cost us up to £1200
My advice would be to try and find somewhere you can get cheap flights to. Find the flights FIRST and then look for somewhere to stay. I agree that Eurocamp,Keycamp etc are the best places to look. How about a holiday to the Netherlands? You can't get much cheaper flights than to Amsterdam.
EDIT: Austria is also a good option for cheap flightsThanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small
