Acer Aspire 5920 what do you think?

I know it is out of stock (currently), but I've been tempted by something seen in Martins newsletter, it is the Acer Aspire 5920 at a penny under £380.

If anyone has this model, what do you make of it, does it have any faults (in your opinion),? does anyone know of anything equal?.

I've been thinking of replacing my old machine which runs XP as it can be very slow and the motor? is noisy, a sort of droan, which doesn't go down well as I'm in the lounge

Can't comment on the 5920 but I bought a 5720 for my grand-daughter at the end of last year and she loves it. A bit of a faff when it arrives as you have to burn copies of all the operating system start up software in case you have to reload the os at some future date but after that it's plain sailing.
She uses it all the time...never has any problems. When she visited us with it it picked up our wireless system straight away and once I gave her the passwork she was ready to surf.
I bought it from amazon and at the same time I bought the 'Acer gold' case, which inculdes a 2yrs extended warranty for the laptop. Costs about £50

My wife was given one as a birthday pressie at the end of May.

She's one of the least IT savvy people I know, yet she loves it !

Was concerned about losing her desktop PC's keyboard and mouse (has had surgery in the past for RSI because of keyboards), but now loves how the 5920's keyboard functions.
