Missing Item

I have recieved a message form a buyer saying they have only recieved one of the two items i sent out to them (however i sent both items in the same packaging , securely taped up and have a coa for it)
I have emailed him and told him to query with his local post office but not sure what to do next?
Is there any chance of opening an account with a postal company for unlimited signed for deliveries for a monthly charge (that work out cheaper than royal mail).I cant afford to charge buyers extra for recorded deliveries.

Hi
have you asked the buyer if the packaging was tampered with in any way.
You will have to make a claim against the PO for the lost item , but i aint sure what will happen with this situation.
I do know DHL offer some good deals on dels if you use them a lot
I am sure there will be a few others along to help with delivery services soon

this is a bummer as you can only provide proof of ONE tracking number to paypal, (if thats what was used)
pick the most expensive item and put a tracking number against that, you'll only loose the amount for not delivering the cheapestmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

bleugh I don't think the OP used recorded as she mentions only having a COP.
The fact that the OP sent two items in the same parcel and only one item arrived is odd to the say the least. If the packaging hasn't been tampered with then either the OP was mistaken when they packed, or the buyer is trying it on.
I can't see though how to resolve this one as a claim for non receipt against the PO wouldn't be correct as they have delivered the parcel without apparently any damage to it. Which leaves the OP open to a paypal chargeback.
This one will take some thought.

i havent queried with him in what state he has recieved the packaging but as i recall i sent both items in the same package securely taped up with brown tape and have a coa & receipt stating the amount of postage payed for it ( so cant have mistakenly sent him only one).
The guy who brought is a power seller so thinking no reason for him to lie but still i dont think royal mail going to compensate me for one item. Guess i,ll try and see what the buyer says and possibly leave it up to paypal to decide ( i ,ll show he recieved the parcel and a receipt stating exact delivery charges).0 -
phew everythings ok.
He just got back to me and told me he didnt really check the contents when he messaged me but just assumed there was only one item in there from looking at the size. I have a mind to leave him a poor feedback for worrying me but guess i wont since he did purchase two.0 -

What a daft buyer, all that worry for nothing just because he thought the package wasn't big enough!
I certainly wouldn't leave him a positive, I'd probably just leave no feedback at all.

What a weight off your shoulders, not having to worry about this anymore. Which leaves you plenty of room for feeling miffed. Like Soo, I probably wouldn't leave feedback, or just something short and dry (that's as far as I go with weird people). I hope he apologised.
Have a nice day now.:wall:0
