Wireless Router Password Problem!

I have forgotton the wireless router password! and now I am trying to connect a new laptop and obviously cant.

My router is connected to my main pc and I have one laptop hanging of the connection wirelessly.

How can I reset the password or find out the original one?...a friend 'who knows about computers' originally set things up, the router is a Belkin make.

Try password otherwise look on the bottom of the router

Have a look for a manual at http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/ - often you can reset the router to the factory settings and start over.

Most router's have have admin and admin, or admin and password as the default username and password. Unfortunately if you have changed it and cant remember what it is, you will have to reset you router, and start again.
Check you instruction manual for details on how to reset.

assuming you're talking about the wireless LAN password, just connect via an ethernet cable and reset the password to one of your choice.

the default admin password for belkin is blank.
