Vets

Just want to clarify something here...
If your dogs was kocked down on a Saturday night, he would have been treated by Vets Now which is the emergency veterinary service which operates out of Earlswood's premises. I think it's important that the distinction is made...Vets Now is a separate entity, with their own vets, nurses and pricing structure which, of course, includes a premium for operating an out-of-hours service.
And, for what it's worth, I have extensive experience of Earlswoods service and, to a lesser extent, the Vets Now service. I don't hesitate to recommend either. I also have experience of a much cheaper vet named on this thread and I found the quality of care (or lack thereof) extremely disappointing. The cheap vet was happy to let my poor puppy live on antibiotics without ever trying to get to the root of her problem. When I switched to Earlswood, they really worked hard to determine the problem to get her off the antibiotics ASAP. Her problem is now controlled with the use of supplements, recommended by Earlswood but not supplied by them so they they have nothing to gain from my using them, other than a satisfied customer and a happy, healthy dog.0 -
Lobell, my post may not have been very well structured but what I was trying to put across that for all the treatment mention (in normal practice hours when the dog was transferred on the Monday morning) my own country vet was cheaper by miles that a simple check up, ear drops and antibiotics from earlswood when my mother in law took her own dog.
I also would not hesitate to recommend vets now, without them my dog would not be here today.
My lengthy and perhaps somewhat confusing post (apologies) was simply supposed to demonstrate how expensive city vets are to some country vets:j Norn Iron Club Member No. 343 :j0
