PHI the same as Icome Protection?

Hello,
perhaps someone can help me. I am self employed and would like to cover the hopefully unlikely event that I am unable to work due to illness. My colleague mentioned a PHI (Permanent Health Insurance) to cover me. I tried to look around to find some quotes but I can´t find anything with PHI instead I see a lot of income protection. Is PHI the same as Income Protection?
Can anyone give me a tip how to find a decent PHI for me?
Many thanks
Chris

It can be. However, PHI doesnt have good internet coverage. Most of the internet income protections are actually budget PHI plans falling under general incurance classification or payment protections. (basically not very good plans).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
