Paint

We live a longish way out from any DIY stores, so I wondered if anybody can save us the petrol of trailing round them --all in totally different directions-- and tell me where is good just now for emulsion paint bargains ?

Asda had some emulsion at a fiver for 5litre tubs, or 3 for a tenner. White or the dreaded magnolia. Probably a bit thin, I suppose, but you always need at least two coats anyway.

:D ok thats good - I van get to Asda. ty !
  • Have just finished decorating using asda paint and you will need more than two coats.
Three may be better... probably 4.
If you can find a dealer then I would recommend that you use Leyland/Johnstone paints. Prices are reasonable and paint is of high quality even for contract white paint.

i would personally stay well clear of any supermarket brands - after all you wouldn't go to homebase for your weekly shop
stick with recognised brands - dulux / crown etc - if you want quality go for dulux trade
