Hello all, I have a 80gb ipod and lots of songs on it from cd's I have borrow or passed on or had saved on my pc as well as purchased songs. My pc broke this week and I had to restore it thus deleting the ipod library. I have not got a recent backed up disc for the purchased songs and lost a lot that were saved to my pc anyway. I went in to the apple store and the chap advised me there is some software you can download that will enable you to get the music back onto your computer and then add it all back to itunes. I have found a poddox website with a free trial download on but not too sure if it is ok to do this.
Is there anyone who knows if this ipod copy expert from poddox works and/or its ok to use?
Thanks for reading and hope someone can help!

This has happened to me before. The best software that I found was something called copypod the link to it is http://www.copytrans.net/ , they call it copytrans now.
Hope that helps.0 -
Why would the OP pay money to do this when they can do it for free?0

sorry didn't really read your post, as far as paying for it, if there was no other alternative then around £20 is cheap to get all your music back. Just go to show how valuable data is !!!0

but two programs I used to use were anapod (have to pay - but cheap and good) and ephpod (free).0

Hello and thanks to all who replied, I tried a few of the free ones but for some reason wouldn't work or was only vaild for a trial period and limit to the songs. I went with the copytrans one in the end and it worked wonderfully and was one of the cheapest at just over £10. Thanks again!0

Well what do you know, I guess people will pay for something they can get for free!
